The outbreak of fever is spreading rapidly in Mahalakpur Mafi village of Pakbada area. More than four hundred people of the village are suffering from fever. The villagers allege that such a horrific situation has arisen due to the negligence of the health department. Deputy CMO said that a camp is being organized.
For the last one month, people in the village started suffering from fever. Villager Firasat Hussain told that he had fever a week ago. Got treatment from nearby doctors, but his health did not improve.
Haji Maijad Hussain, Mushahid Hussain, Zahid Hussain said that in almost every house at least one member is ill. Symptoms of fever are like malaria and dengue. The villagers complained to the health department several times, but no camp was set up.
Till now no doctor from the health department has come to the village to examine the patients. Villagers told that there was an outbreak of fever in the village two years ago also. At that time many people died of fever. This year also a large number of people are suffering from fever.
Medicine distributed after examining 105 patients
People are getting drip infusion in every house of Mahalakpur Mafi village. On receiving the information, health department officials reached the village. CMO Dr. Kuldeep Singh arrived with the doctors and talked to many patients. More than 105 patients were examined in the village.
Of these, blood samples of 21 patients have been taken for testing. To prevent fever infection, a campaign has been started in the village on the initiative of the Health Department. Dirt is being removed by running a cleaning campaign. Doctors believe that the filth spread in the village is the main cause of diseases.
Many places in the village are filled with water. The team that reached the village on Sunday included CMO along with Deputy CMO Dr. Sanjeev Belwal, Dr. Amit Saxena etc. Medicines were distributed to all the patients.
Local residents Maijad Hussain, Fakhruddin, Bhure Khan, Mushahid Hussain etc. told that hundreds of people in the village are troubled due to fever. With the arrival of doctors on Sunday, there is hope that now everyone will get proper treatment.
